Okay, I guess I'm not a blog writer after all!

As I already mentioned in the blog title of this entry. I am not a blog writer, but now it occured to me that I can make a photo blog. So, I'll try to go through with that idea. Your SwissMiss

Ok, I didn't write anything since January

Well, I am not that good at writing to nobody in particular, so that is why I am not writing. Though, I have lately been reading a lot of blogs. Especially those of American expats in Switzerland. I was really impressed and hence, I thought that I should attempt to write an entry into my own blog once again.
It is not that I don't have anything to write about, no, I just think that I do not have an audience. Anyway, I should write my blog as if it were a diary for my own memories. Here it goes!

The most important moment of this year has been that my BF and I got two kitties from a breeder. They are the two most adorable British Shorthair Cats I have ever get to know. We got them since the beginning of March, when they were 13 weeks old. Now they are more than half a year old and still growing. They love to eat, to sleep and to play. We are so glad that we took two of them. If we only had one, we would always feel bad at leaving the house. Since they are two, they can play. They are brother and sister, so they get along very well.

Anyway, besides taking care of the cats, I do study at the university and hopefully soon start with my licenciate thesis (start writing November, but preparations for my empirical research start in August). Working two days a week doesn't really help my progress in my papers that I have to finish prior to starting with my diploma thesis, but I am getting there.

I think that is quite enough for the moment and I hope to get into a habit of blogging more often soon. Bye for now!

Fireworks impression

This is an impression from the fireworks display that we went to watch New Year's Eve. This annual event takes place on the Swiss and German border between Bad Säckingen and Stein. The fireworks are always accompanied by accentuated music pieces, so it's an entire fireworks choreography. It's always a good start into the year. I tried out my fireworks function on the digital camera and it worked pretty well for me. My mom has almost the same camera, but we couldn't find the functions menu, so she took them on the normal mode, which didn't work out at all.
